Junk Shop Finds

I started taking pictures fairly recently as material for artwork, namely cross-stitch pictures.  Inanimate objects fascinate me, particularly those that are imitating life or the living.  Most of them in the slide show here are figurines, dolls and other items I found in junk  shops in Wilmington and Asheville. I have a couple of rules when photographing: I never move anything, I want the composition to be spontaneous and I use my cell phone camera only.  This was originally out of necessity because it is lighter than my regular camera, now I like the limitation of it.  A lot of my visual art work is based on limiting myself.
